"Cheesy" Popcorn

Netflix and Popcorn


2-3 Tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

3 Tbsp nutritional yeast


1. Heat a large, Dutch oven or saucepan over medium heat. Add enough oil (2-3 Tbsp) to cover the bottom of the pan. Add 2-3 kernels of popcorn. and close the lid

2. Wait for the first 2-3 kernels of popcorn to pop. It may take a few minutes. Then, add the remainder of the popcorn kernels and quickly close the lid. Reduce heat to low-medium heat

3. Gently shake the pan to help coat the popcorn kernels. Once the popping starts again, shake the pan again to allow the unpopped kernels to make contact with the oil

4. Continue to cook the popcorn until the popping decreases to less than a pop per few seconds

5. Remove popcorn from the heat. Transfer popcorn to a serving bowl. Drizzle with additional olive oil and toss with nutritional yeast. Serve immediately
